Name, username and email

Change the legal name we have on record for your account, choose a new username, and update the email address you use to log in to your account and receive notifications. As part of our integrity policy, some changes may be subject to manual review by facio.social.

Change your name

As part of our platform integrity policy, we do not allow anonymous accounts on facio.social,and we require all users to provide and verify their legal name when creating an account.

To change the legal name we have on record for your account, please complete the form below, including evidence of your new legal name (this should include both your old and new legal names).

Only changing your display name or professional name? 

To change the display name on your social profile, go to the edit social profile page. To update your professional name, go to the edit professional profile page instead. 

Taking over from a parent or guardian?

If your account was created by a parent or guardian because you were under sixteen, please email hello@facio.social to begin the process of transferring ownership of the account to you.

Change your username

To protect the integrity of the platform, facio.social users are not permitted to select a username which is misleading or used to impersonate another person. Platform members with a username deemed misleading or impersonation may have their accounts restricted or suspended without notice.
 
Before making any change, remember your username appears in the URL of your professional profile, and frequent changes may make it more difficult for others to find your profile.

Due to email verification requirements, you are currently unable to change your email address directly from your account. We are working to enable this feature and apologise for any inconvenience.
